Our Sawdust Sirens are old style acoustic amplifiers for your new phone's speaker. Simply put your phone in and have a listen.

This horn appears to be from an Edison Amberola DX tabletop phonograph. Directly competing with Victor’s Victrola (even borrowing the ‘ola’ suffix), the Amberola phonographs were Edison’s first to utilize an internal horn and were the source of several patent lawsuits from Victor. Although the internal horn phonographs didn’t sound as good as phonographs with external horns, most people thought they were more fashionable. To enhance the fashionable look, the metal horn was painted with fake wood grain to match the oak cabinet.

Out of the Box is approximately 13.25” tall x 9.75” wide x 12” deep. The reclaimed ash base is finished with Betty’s Board Butter (beeswax and mineral oil). You may wish to re-oil your base occasionally. Each Siren is signed on the bottom of the base.
